Maharshi Shree Shivkrupanand Swamiji, renowned for his leadership in Himalayan Dhyanyog, recently concluded a significant tour across Europe. The tour included Himalayan meditation sessions tailored for Members of Parliament from the United Kingdom and Germany, marking a pivotal moment in promoting holistic wellness and global unity.
The inaugural meditation shibir for UK MPs took place at the esteemed House of Lords in London, where Swamiji was bestowed with the title of ‘Global Peace and Wellness Ambassador’. This honor was conferred by Navnitbhai Dholakia, a distinguished member of the House of Lords, and C.B. Patel from Asian Voice News. During the session, Swamiji engaged MPs through discourses, guided meditation, and insightful Q&A sessions, addressing their queries with wisdom and clarity.
Similarly, in Berlin, Germany, the second Himalayan Meditation shibir was held for German MPs. The event encompassed deep discourses, meditation sessions, interactive Q&A segments, and concluded with a heartfelt prayer for the nation’s progress. MPs and ministers from both countries acknowledged substantial benefits from these immersive sessions.
Central to Swamiji’s teachings during these gatherings was the ancient Indian philosophy of ‘vasudhaiva kutumbakam’, emphasizing the world as one family. He underscored that amidst diverse faiths, cultures, and languages, yoga serves as a unifying force. Drawing from his extensive global travels spanning three decades, Swamiji expressed conviction that yoga stands as the singular medium capable of uniting humanity.
“Yoga,” Swamiji articulated, “is frequently misunderstood merely as physical exercise. True yoga extends beyond yogasanas, strengthening not only the body but also the mind. It facilitates a deeper connection with the divine within us, fostering profound personal transformation.”
Beyond parliamentary circles, Swamiji’s journey extended to Ireland, where local communities also benefitted from his teachings in a dedicated shibir.
Himalayan Dhyanyog, steeped in an 800-year legacy, continues to be championed zealously by Maharshi Shree Shivkrupanand Swamiji. His altruistic efforts over the past three decades have disseminated the transformative principles of Himalayan meditation yoga worldwide, free of charge. In today’s tumultuous times, Swamiji advocates for reconnecting individuals with their spiritual essence and fostering a harmonious connection with the Supreme Soul through these profound values. This ethos resonates across more than 66 countries, where Himalayan Dhyanyog practices are actively embraced.
