In the midst of life’s daily whirlwind—juggling bills, navigating work stress, and myriad other challenges—it’s all too easy to overlook the most essential element: oneself. Recognizing this need for self-care amidst hectic schedules is pivotal.
Rev. Skip Jennings will be hosting a transformative event, the Soul Harmony Retreat, in Wilton Manors on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This retreat offers a distinct opportunity for attendees to reconnect with their inner selves and foster healing through a blend of yoga, meditation, and empowerment workshops. According to Jennings, it’s a chance to step back from the hustle and bustle of daily life and intentionally renew one’s energy, vitality, and spiritual connection. “Participants are invited to embark on a journey of self-reconnection,” he emphasizes.
The day’s itinerary includes gentle yoga sessions designed to invigorate the body, meditation practices aimed at deepening spiritual awareness, and empowerment workshops focused on activating mental energy and overcoming personal barriers. “It’s about setting intentions, addressing our obstacles, and unlocking our potential for personal empowerment,” Jennings explains.
The retreat culminates in a healing session featuring a soothing sound bath, offering a holistic approach to inner wellness.
Priced at $99, the registration fee covers lunch with vegetarian options available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats to enhance their comfort during the activities.
While Jennings brings a spiritual perspective as a minister, he clarifies that this retreat is not religiously affiliated. Beyond his role as a reverend, Jennings is a multifaceted individual—a published author, transformational coach, yoga instructor, meditation guide, holistic health consultant, and podcast host. Despite his varied roles, Jennings acknowledges his own ongoing journey towards managing life’s stresses. “I am currently navigating through various challenges,” he shares. “But through personal healing, I believe we can inspire others to embark on their own healing journeys. The impact of our retreat work extends far beyond the event itself.”
The Soul Harmony Retreat will be held at the Island City Cultural Center, located at 600 NE 21st Court, Wilton Manors, on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
