The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is set to offer a distinctive twist on traditional yoga practices with its upcoming event, “Slothvasana: Yoga with Sloths,” scheduled for November 2-3. This unique experience invites participants to engage in yoga sessions alongside the zoo’s Sloth Ambassadors, who will make special appearances throughout the class.
Attendees can anticipate a serene environment complemented by snacks and a complimentary mimosa for those aged 21 and over. Additionally, the event features a sloth-themed raffle and a free t-shirt for participants. Following the yoga session, guests will have the opportunity to meet a sloth.
While participants can expect to see sloths during the class, the animals will not be present for the entire duration to ensure their safety. The zoo has also stipulated that attendees will not be permitted to hold or touch the sloths.
The yoga sessions are open to individuals aged 10 and older. Participants who are 21 and above must bring a photo I.D. to enjoy their complimentary mimosa. The zoo recommends that attendees bring their own yoga mats for the class.
