Haridwar – Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today sought the blessings of spiritual leaders for the advancement of Haryana while speaking at the 12th annual festival of Acharyakulam, held at Patanjali Yogpeeth.
Addressing the gathering, Saini expressed his desire for the saints’ blessings to drive new avenues of development in the state. He noted that his visit to the holy banks of the Ganga had invigorated him, providing renewed energy and purpose to bring back to Haryana.
The Chief Minister commended yoga guru Baba Ramdev for his significant contributions to the revival of Ayurveda and yoga, highlighting the Haryana Government’s ongoing efforts to promote these disciplines. “Gyms have been established in approximately 6,500 panchayats, wellness centers have been opened in villages, and yoga instructors have been appointed to motivate the youth to embrace yoga. Moreover, yoga has been made a compulsory subject for students from grades one to ten. Initiatives such as the establishment of Sri Krishna Ayush University in Kurukshetra and a dedicated research center in Jhajjar reflect our government’s commitment. We have also set up 506 Ayurvedic dispensaries and Ayushman centers across the state,” he added.
During the event, Swami Ramdev announced plans to create a new ‘Acharyakulam’ in Haryana, which would surpass the existing facility in Haridwar. In response, Chief Minister Saini pledged his full support for this initiative, emphasizing that it would serve as a point of pride for the people of Haryana.
