To embrace the serene beauty of its waterfront setting, the National Museum of the Great Lakes announces the launch of its Yoga by the Boat series, set to commence this Saturday morning and continue over the next few weeks.
The series, scheduled from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., will unfold on July 27, August 10, and August 24, featuring expert instructors from Parting Clouds Yoga in Maumee. Participants will engage in yoga postures and mindful breathing exercises against the picturesque backdrop of the museum’s waterfront, as disclosed by museum officials.
Open to yoga enthusiasts of all proficiency levels, each session is priced at $15 per participant. Ashley Streichert, the museum’s marketing and communications manager, expressed enthusiasm about the outdoor sessions, describing them as a blend of fitness and natural beauty.
Following the yoga sessions, participants will be eligible for discounted admission to explore the museum and its collection of museum ships, with a $2 reduction per ticket or $5 off any membership.
Interested individuals are required to register in advance at nmgl.org/events to secure their spot.
