The Monadnock Conservancy, in partnership with Aloha Keene, invites the community to participate in two unique yoga experiences set against the scenic backdrop of conserved lands this summer.
The first session will take place on July 23, with a rain date scheduled for July 30, at Cunningham Pond in Peterborough. Led by Lindsay Taflas, the conservancy’s development director and a certified yoga instructor, the Vinyasa-style class will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Participants are welcome to join this free session in the expansive open field at Cunningham Pond, with a signed waiver required prior to participation.
On August 19, Josephine Russell from Aloha Keene will lead a special “Full Moon Yoga” session from 7 to 8 p.m. atop Pitcher Mountain in Stoddard. Open to all skill levels, no registration is necessary for this event, though attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to support the conservancy’s ongoing efforts.
Established in 1989, the Monadnock Conservancy serves as the sole land trust dedicated exclusively to the Monadnock region, encompassing 38 towns and the City of Keene. Committed to conserving the region’s natural resources, including forested areas, farmland, shoreline, wetlands, wildlife habitats, and recreational trails, the conservancy has safeguarded over 23,000 acres to date.
