Laredo Cultural District is gearing up to host its highly anticipated Midsummer Meditation Rave, which will now take place on August 10th at Casa Ortiz, following a rescheduling from its original date of July 27th. Organized by Seyde, this event marks a significant milestone for the district.
The evening kicks off at 7 p.m. and continues until 11 p.m., promising a vibrant lineup of activities.
From 7 to 9 p.m., participants can join a flower crown workshop led by Polola Flower Club. Limited to just 20 spots on a first-come, first-served basis, the workshop offers attendees the opportunity to craft their own flower crowns using provided materials.
Following the workshop, from 8 to 9 p.m., a meditation session focusing on sharpening intuition will take place, accompanied by live music courtesy of Alejandro G and guided by Sey.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats, blankets, or cushions, and to wear comfortable clothing in light colors, echoing the event’s theme of “Fairy midsummer night dream inspired outfits encourage,” as stated on the event flyer. No prior meditation experience is necessary to join this session.
The festivities will conclude from 9 to 11 p.m. with a DJ set and visual arts display at Casa Ortiz, orchestrated by Synthia.
This inaugural event promises to blend artistic expression with meditative practice, inviting the community to immerse themselves in a unique cultural experience.
