In a move that fuses the elegance of ballet with modern streetwear, Los Angeles-based luxury activewear brand Alo Yoga has launched a new collaboration with the American Ballet Theatre (ABT). The collection, dubbed ‘Ballet Pink,’ is poised to captivate with its blend of sophistication and performance.
Abby Gordon, Chief Design and Merchandising Officer at Alo Yoga, described the collaboration as a seamless integration of ballet’s grace and streetwear’s versatility. “The ‘Ballet Pink’ collection is designed to merge the world of ballet with streetwear, evolving our studio-to-street mentality,” Gordon said in a press release. She noted that the collection draws inspiration from ballet’s “strength and discipline” and includes 40 distinct styles encompassing performance wear, loungewear, and innovative pieces that challenge traditional ballet attire.
The fall capsule collection, modeled by principal dancers from ABT, features a variety of athleisure staples such as strappy sports bras, lace-up leggings, fluttery skorts, cut-off sweatshirts, and knitted leg warmers. While rooted in ballet aesthetics, the collection is crafted to suit a range of activities, including barre and Pilates classes, as well as casual wear beyond the studio.
The limited-edition collection is priced between $24 and $168. It is available for purchase both online and in stores nationwide.
