JAMMU, Oct 24 — The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) Yoga team set off today for Una, Himachal Pradesh, to compete in the 49th Sub-Junior and Junior National Yoga Sports Championship, taking place from October 24 to 27.
The team was officially flagged off by B.K. Sudarshan Didi, Patron-in-Chief of the Yoga Association J&K, alongside Vice President B.K. Ravinder Bali and Secretary General Vinod Bhatia, who conveyed their best wishes on behalf of President Akhil Kapahi.
A total of 27 promising yoga practitioners, including both boys and girls, will represent Jammu and Kashmir UT at this esteemed competition. The team is managed and coached by national yoga referee Aryaaveer Singh, who is supported by fellow coaches Anushka Koul, Anuradha, and Bandu Banotra.
The participants from Jammu and Kashmir UT include Urvashi, Annaya Kotwal, Veenakshi, Anishka Gupta, Aliya Akhtar, Nishita Meeniya, Vasvi Sharma, Gunjan Sharma, Akshi Sharma, Parth Sanmotra, Aadhya Gupta, Harshit Wazir, Rahul Singh, Navjot Singh, Krishna Chowdhary, Lakshya Mahajan, Shaurya Bandral, Surinder Rajput, Sandeep Kumar, Banshu Sharma, Arnav Singh, and Sadhya Sharma.
