Peloton members can look forward to a new addition to the fitness platform’s schedule: a “Yoga + Pilates” class set to debut on Monday, November 4, at 7:30 AM ET, led by instructor Anna Greenberg.
While specifics about the class, including its official description, remain undisclosed, this introduction marks a significant development for Peloton, which has not previously offered a combined Yoga and Pilates class. This innovative approach aligns with trends in the fitness industry, where hybrid classes like “Yogilates” and “PiYo” have gained popularity by merging the strength and stability of Pilates with the flexibility and mindfulness of yoga.
The launch of this blended class could be a strategic move by Peloton to attract members who have yet to experience Pilates, integrating it with yoga—an area where Peloton has a more established and extensive class offering. By combining yoga’s focus on mindfulness, balance, and flexibility with Pilates’ emphasis on core strength and stability, the new class aims to provide a unique workout experience that appeals to fans of both disciplines.
Details regarding the frequency of the “Yoga + Pilates” class and the instructors involved have not yet been announced. Currently, only two Peloton instructors, Anna Greenberg and Aditi Shah, are certified to teach both yoga and Pilates. The recent reintroduction of instructor Rebecca Kennedy to Peloton’s regular Pilates roster further indicates the company’s commitment to expanding its Pilates content.
As more information about this new class type becomes available, members are encouraged to participate in the inaugural session on November 4. Are you looking forward to trying out Peloton’s new “Yoga + Pilates” class?
