Alo Yoga, the Los Angeles-based athleisure brand, has announced plans to expand into the Latin American market with its first store in São Paulo, Brazil. Slated to open in the first quarter of 2025, the new location will be situated at the prestigious JK Iguatemi shopping center, a prominent destination for luxury retail in the heart of Brazil’s largest city.
The opening of Alo Yoga’s Brazilian store marks a significant milestone in the brand’s international growth strategy, aligning it with other high-end labels that have debuted in the upscale JK Iguatemi mall. Notable brands such as Loewe, Le Labo, H&M, Comme des Garçons, and Tiffany have already established a presence at the shopping center, which is widely regarded as a showcase for luxury retail in São Paulo.
Iguatemi, one of Brazil’s leading retail conglomerates, operates 17 shopping malls, a premium outlet, and three office towers. Ranked as the country’s third-largest player in the shopping center sector, it has become an essential destination for both international and domestic luxury brands looking to enter the Brazilian market.
Founded in 2007 by Danny Harris and Marco DeGeorge, Alo Yoga has gained global recognition for its premium athleisure products, which blend performance with style. The brand offers a range of apparel designed for both yoga and everyday wear, and has expanded its offerings to include men’s sportswear and wellness-focused self-care products.
In a statement, Satomi Nanba, the director of retail at Iguatemi, expressed excitement about the partnership. “We are honored to debut Alo Yoga’s first South American location at JK Iguatemi,” she said. “This is a commitment to sharing Alo Yoga’s vision of mindful movement and premium athleisure with Brazil’s dynamic and rapidly growing wellness community.”
As the demand for wellness products continues to surge in Brazil, the opening of Alo Yoga’s store at JK Iguatemi is poised to further fuel the growth of the country’s vibrant wellness culture.
