MARQUETTE, Mich. – Embracing the summer season, the Marquette Unity Yoga Co-Op has relocated its popular free yoga classes to the Founder’s Landing Boardwalk. Normally hosted year-round at their studio on Washington St, this seasonal move allows participants to practice amid the serene outdoor surroundings.
Founded in 2020, these donation-based sessions serve as a communal space for individuals to engage in spiritual, mental, and physical practices. What began as a modest initiative has blossomed into a regular gathering led by a dedicated group of facilitators, emphasizing community enrichment.
“Whether it’s under clear skies with birdsong or amidst a gentle drizzle or overcast skies, there’s a profound connection to nature that enhances our spiritual journey,” remarked Connor Ryan, founder of the Marquette Unity Yoga Co-Op.
Classes are scheduled outdoors from June through August, with sessions returning to the Unity Yoga Co-Op studio thereafter. Participants can join sessions on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings at 8 a.m., and on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Evening classes are available Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. Those interested can find further details about class schedules and other events on the Marquette Unity Yoga Co-Op’s official website.
